Welcome to Our Lady’s Assumption School
As the principal of Our Lady’s Assumption School (OLA), I warmly welcome you to our wonderful school. I have been at OLA since 2018 and witnessed a change in culture, teaching pedagogy as well as an increase in student achievements, ensuring we’re catering for the needs of all students, to the best of our ability. ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ and this is the approach we have taken at OLA, a whole school approach to the way we learn, communicate and educate our students.

This term, our Pre-Kindy kids have been learning all about the amazing community helpers who work hard to keep us safe, healthy and connected!
Through play, stories, conversations and hands-on activities, the children have been exploring different roles such as firefighters, police officers, doctors, dentists and more.
It’s been wonderful watching the students develop their understanding of the world around them and see their imaginations come to life, all while building confidence, language and social skills through meaningful play.

A quick reminder to RSVP for our Father’s Day Breakfast & Mass on Wednesday 2 September from 7:30am. Please RSVP via School Stream 𝐛𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 so we can cater for everyone.
🎁 OLA Gift Stall
The OLA Gift Stall will be open for students to choose a gift for Dad or a loved one. Gifts are $10 each and need to be pre-purchased via Flexischools.com.au before 8pm Tuesday 1 September.
💙 Father’s Day Raffle
Treat Dad to the ultimate Father’s Day prize pack, including a Weber BBQ, BBQ accessories & spices, round of golf at Lights Out Golf, Bunnings voucher, Archie Brothers Voucher and more valued at over $500!
Tickets are $10 through Flexischools, with sales closing 8pm Tuesday 1 September. The winner will be drawn at the breakfast at 8:15am.

Last Friday, our Year 6 students headed to The Regal Theatre to see Mercedes College Perth’s production of Beauty and the Beast.
They were impressed by the singing, choreography and costumes, and it was a nice surprise to see some former OLA students performing as part of the cast.
