Book Week is coming in Term 4, Week 2!
A little later in the year than usual, Book Week is sure to be worth the wait! We have some great events planned for the week, and will be celebrating our love of reading together. The theme this year is Curious Creatures, Wild Minds!
2020 Library Events
The West Australian Young Readers’ Book Award runs from Term 1 to the end of Term 3. Students can read as many of the nominated books as possible and vote by giving a quick review of the book. Winning titles will be announced in Term 4.
MS Readathon Success
Thank you to all students who took part in this year’s Readathon and also to our OLA community for supporting this event. I was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm shown this year, with 66 students taking part, to read 941 books and raise $4262 to help support families of people with MS and other neurological conditions.
Wall of Fame
This term has seen the introduction of Class RICE Awards for Library sessions. Each week the classes have been excited to see who is chosen for the award, which recognises their group effort to display one of our RICE Values.
Parent Accounts
Did you know that as parents you can also open an OLA library account and borrow books for yourself and your children?
