Teachers

 

Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment. Information is available from www.trb.wa.gov.au.

 

Applicants must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.

 

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, addressed to the Principal, including the names and contact numbers of three referees, one of whom must be the current employer. A current Federal Police Clearance/100 Point Identification Check must also be included. The appropriate Criminal History Record Check form is available from the Department of Education and Training website (www.education.wa.edu.au). In the case of teachers, a current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration number shall be provided in lieu, as ongoing registration requires a current Police Clearance.

 

On appointment successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check. Application forms are available at certain Australia Post Outlets throughout the State. A list of participating Australia Post outlets can be found on the Australia Post web site at auspost.com.au/pol/app/locate An application for a WWC must be made in person.

CBCA Book Week 2018

In the Library we are getting ready to celebrate Book Week starting Monday 20 August.

The theme this year is Find your Treasure. There will be a whole school treasure hunt taking place over the week, a dress-up parade on Wednesday 22 August, a musical performance and many more great activities to celebrate our love of reading.

Grandparents' Day

On Wednesday 25 July OLA hosted a morning tea to celebrate the special relationship between children and their Grandparents. Many Grandparents enjoyed this wonderful event, attending a special mass in their honour, followed by morning tea and a chance to visit the students' classrooms to view their work.

When students return to school in Week 1, OLA will be celebrating NAIDOC Week with the theme Because of her, we can, which will focus on the invaluable contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have made – and continue to make - to our communities, our families, our rich history and to our nation.
