RICE is alive and well in the Music Room. Because of the Covid restrictions, we are minimising shared instruments this term. Our classes are enjoying performing rap, and learning some new music theory. Years 4 and 5 are lucky, as they own their own recorders, and it is great to hear recorder music around the school again. Year 6 are busy analysing the features of rap music, and are composing their own rap lyrics. Their topics are most interesting, including ‘Football’, ‘Fortnite’, ‘Coronavirus’, ‘Toxic Friends’ and ‘Song.’. They are researching using the internet for inspiration, and are demonstrating integrity and excellence in avoiding plagiarism. We look forward to hearing their compositions in due course.
