Respect has been a big focus for us in 3M over the past few weeks. While we have been doing lots of learning, we have also been able to demonstrate the school value of respect. We show respect to our teachers and classmates by treating everyone the way we would like to be treated. We show respect to our belongings by taking care of them and show respect to the equipment in the classroom by treating them like gold, especially the iPads and Chromebooks (which has been very exciting).
Last week we celebrated Shrove Tuesday by making delicious pancakes (Thank you to our parent helpers!). Whilst the children helped the parents, they showed lots of appreciation and respect to the helpers as they used their manners and followed instructions. This was followed by a discussion about the importance of Lent and giving as a sign of compassion and respect for those in need.
