Welcome to Our Lady’s Assumption School

As the principal of Our Lady’s Assumption School (OLA), I warmly welcome you to our wonderful school. I have been at OLA since 2018 and witnessed a change in culture, teaching pedagogy as well as an increase in student achievements, ensuring we’re catering for the needs of all students, to the best of our ability. ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ and this is the approach we have taken at OLA, a whole school approach to the way we learn, communicate and educate our students.

Thank you to everyone in the OLA community - from families, friends and staff who donated to the Caritas Australia Walk for Water fundraiser 💙💙💙

Our goal was to raise $6,000 and together we smashed the total raising $8,123.55 👏🏻👏🏻

These funds will go directly towards providing a school in need with a water tank, which will ensure a safe and reliable water supply for years to come 💦

A heartfelt thank you 🙏🏻 to Mrs Barclay and Ms Knight for coordinating this initiative.

This morning, the Year 5 students gave a truly special performance of the Stations of the Cross, guided and prepared by Ms Knight, Miss Carbone and Mr Marthins.

Their reenactment was full of emotion and respect, helping us all to understand and feel the story of Jesus during Holy Week ✝️

We warmly invite everyone in our school community to the next part of the story – The Resurrection. This will be held on Wednesday 30 April at 2.40pm in the Sr Goretti Hall. It’s a beautiful way to finish the Easter story, full of hope and joy.
